Jewelry Care

All jewelry should be taken off before showering, swimming, exercising, and doing any strenuous activities to prevent tarnishing and breaking. Chlorine, detergents, oils, perfumes, and certain body chemistry may cause the jewelry to tarnish quickly. Keep dry in closed storage when not in use. If your jewelry gets dirty, clean with a soft damp cloth. If your silver jewelry tarnishes, use a gentle silver polishing cloth to remove the tarnish. Never put jewelry with stones, pearls, or other natural material in an ultrasonic cleaner and never use harsh chemicals to clean.

Jewelry in the "Mettle Collection" is electroplated. Electroplating is the process of coating one metal with a thin layer of another metal using an electric current. This partially dissolves the metals and creates a chemical bond between them. Our "Mettle Collection" designs use 24k gold and .999 fine silver electroplated over jewelry grade brass. Always lead free, nickel free, and cadmium free. Chlorine, detergents, oils , perfumes, and certain body chemistry may cause the components to lose their silver or gold layer. Keep dry in closed storage when not in use. If your electroplated jewelry gets dirty, gently clean with a soft cloth.

Please treat your jewelry gently. Every care is taken to ensure the strongest materials are used. With proper care, your jewelry will last for many years.
